Eggnog French Toast

Can't get enough eggnog? Make this Eggnog French Toast! It's a great way to use up leftover eggnog in a festive holiday breakfast. This recipe gets double egg goodness with the egg bread and the eggnog. Challah is a tasty choice but any bread will work well. French toast is a good way to use up day-old bread. I can’t drink too much eggnog all by itself because it’s too rich on its own for my palate. However, I can have endless amounts of things made with eggnog, such as this Eggnog French Toast!

Angel Food French Toast

Angel food cake is touted as the lighter dessert, right? It’s the treat that people eat when they go on a diet and when paired with fruit, it gets even healthier. So I got to thinking – I bet some of these slices are even less caloric that the thick Italian bread I’d use to make french toast anyway.

Deviled Eggs

Deviled Eggs are one of my favorites foods to enjoy all year long. This classic recipe makes the perfect little bite to add to any meal or party spread. I love Deviled Eggs. I always have. If you like Deviled Eggs as much as I do, you know how difficult it is to try to eat just one. Usually, we only enjoy them around the holidays or for special occasions, in which case, I can’t dump several dozen on my plate and find a hiding place to eat them in secret. That would not be in the holiday spirit! No, not one bit. But don’t think it hasn’t crossed my mind.

French Toast Fingers

French toast fingers are part dessert, part breakfast, and all fun. Classic French toast is made with a hint of citrus and turned into jam sandwiches cut into "fingers". A fun treat for kids in the morning! WHISK together eggs, milk, salt and vanilla in a shallow bowl. Set aside. SPREAD jam evenly over four of the slices of bread and top with the remaining slices of bread. Trim the crusts if desired and cut each sandwich into three equal strips. PREHEAT a large non-stick skillet over medium heat. Lightly grease the pan. Dip each sandwich strip into the egg mixture to coat. Place in the skillet and fry for 2-3 minutes per side or until golden brown. DUST with icing sugar before serving.

Pumpkin French Toast

Thick layers of brioche get soaked in a mixture of egg, milk, pumpkin puree, and vanilla and then topped with creamy pumpkin butter for the most fall brunch EVER. In a rectangular baking dish, whisk together the eggs, milk, pumpkin puree, vanilla, cinnamon, and pumpkin pie spice. If you like your french toast on the sweeter side, you can add a bit of brown sugar too. Dip the bread into the mixture, flip sides and then place on the hot skillet.

Breakfast

Strawberry Jam French Toast

The thing I loved the most about the sweet breakfasts were that they were usually pancakes or French toast, and they were always topped with some sort of fun compound butter. Salted caramel butter on banana pancakes? Yep. Chocolate butter to accompany the croissants? That happened too. And then, of course, fresh strawberry-flecked butter for French toast. I was hooked.

Breakfast Pizza

Breakfast Pizza – kale pesto, sun-dried tomatoes, sausage, cheese, herbs, and eggs baked right on top. Super easy and adaptable recipe for brunch! Bake the pizza on the highest rack for 6-10 minutes, until the crust is baked, the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the eggs are cooked to your liking (I like the yolks to be soft). Remove from oven, let it stand a few minutes, and cut into slices. Yum!
