Turkey Fried Rice

Ground Turkey Fried Rice is a quick and easy weeknight meal you can put on the table in under 30 minutes. It is a great way to use up any leftover veggies hanging out in your fridge. It is not only quick and easy to make turkey fried rice, but it is also all made in one skillet, meaning less time spent cleaning up and more time enjoying a meal with your family.

Ingredients :
  • 1 cup Frozen peas
  • 2 Eggs, beaten
  • 3 tbsp. Gluten-Free soy sauce
  • 2 cups Leftover cooked rice
  • 1 cup Chopped carrots
  • 1/2 pound Ground turkey
  • 1/4 cup Chopped green onions
  • 1/4 tsp. Crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 tsp. Ground ginger
  • 1 tsp. Minced garlic
  • 1 tbsp. Oil
  • 1 tbsp. Sesame oil
Directions :
  1. Heat your pan over medium/high heat until a drop of water boiled on the surface and quickly bubbles and evaporates.
  2. To your hot pan, add your oil, the white part of the green onions, ginger, garlic, and red pepper flakes. Cook until fragrant and the garlic is lightly golden.
  3. Add the ground turkey to your hot skillet and stir to break up. Cook until browned. Add your carrots and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until crisp-tender.
  4. Add leftover rice and gluten-free soy sauce and cook until the rice is heated through, and golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Make a “well” in the center of your skillet. Add the eggs, and scramble them in the “well”, gradually pulling in the surrounding rice meat and veggies as it cooks.
  6. Turn off the heat, and add your frozen peas. Add the green part of the green onions and serve.
