Slow Cooker Short Ribs
In this recipe, short ribs slow cook in a beefy red wine sauce with onions, carrots, celery, and aromatic herbs and spices.
Ingredients :
- 6 to 8 bone-in short ribs about 3.5 to 4 lbs
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 large onion diced
- 2 cups beef stock
- 1 cup dry red wine
- 3 medium carrots peeled and cut 2-inches
- 2 ribs celery cut ½-inch
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
- ½ teaspoon dried thyme leaves
- 2 bay leaves
- 2 ½ tablespoons cornstarch
