Shepherds Pie
A savory filling with meat and veggies is topped with creamy mashed potatoes and baked until bubbly.
Ingredients :
- 1 pound ground lamb or lean ground beef
- 1 medium yellow onion diced
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon dried thyme leaves
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 2 cups frozen mixed vegetables thawed
- 1 ⅔ cups beef broth more as needed
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 ½ tablespoons tomato paste
- 4 cups prepared mashed potatoes see notes
