Honey Butter Chicken

Honey Butter Chicken is a sweet and savory chicken dish. This weeknight meal comes together in no time at all!

Ingredients :
  • 1 pound boneless skinless chicken thighs or chicken breast cutlets
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 5 tablespoons salted butter divided
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon orange juice
  • 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
Directions :
  1. Season the chicken with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat oil in a 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the chicken thighs in batches and cook for 4 minutes per side or until cooked through. Transfer to a bowl to keep warm.
  4. Reduce the heat to medium and add 1 tablespoon of the butter and the garlic. Cook just until fragrant.
  5. Stir in the remaining butter, honey, soy sauce, orange juice, and Dijon mustard. Simmer uncovered for 3-5 minutes or until slightly thickened.
  6. Add the chicken with any juices back to the skillet and cook 1 to 2 minutes more or until heated through.
  7. Serve the sauce over the chicken.
