Homemade Breakfast Sausage

These homemade breakfast sausage patties have a savory blend of spices and add lots of delicious flavor to your morning plate!

Ingredients :
  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon fennel seeds crushed, optional
  • ½ teaspoon ground sage
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon poultry seasoning
  • ⅛ teaspoon dried thyme leaves
  • ⅛ teaspoon dried rosemary crushed
  • ⅛ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ⅛ teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
Directions :
  1. Combine pork and all seasonings in a medium bowl. Mix very well.
  2. Refrigerate at least 2 hours or overnight.
  3. Divide meat into 6 patties, ½" thick.
  4. Heat a skillet over medium heat.
  5. Add patties (and a pat of butter if you'd like) and cook 4 minutes per side or until lightly browned.
