Grilled Honey BBQ Chicken

Grilled Honey BBQ Chicken — Tender, juicy, full of FLAVOR, and a great recipe to jazz up grilled bbq chicken. EASY, healthy. zero cleanups, perfect for backyard barbecues or easy weeknight dinners! Chicken on the grill is always a winner because it’s so tender, juicy, and full of flavor from the grill. With summer grilling season in full swing, this recipe will come in handy when you want to jazz up your usual grilled BBQ chicken. If you know you’ll be making a lot of grilled chicken this summer, I recommend buying chicken tenders or breasts whenever they’re on sale and freezing them for later. And you might as well stock up on the ingredients for your favorite grilled chicken recipes so that you can thaw the chicken and start grilling at a moment’s notice!

Ingredients :
  • fresh cilantro or parsley, optional for garnishing
  • 1.25 pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts tenders
  • 1 tsp. freshly ground black pepper, or to taste
  • 4 cloves garlic, finely minced or pressed
  • 3 tbsp. sriracha, optional and to taste
  • 3 tbsp. lemon juice or apple cider vinegar
  • 3 tbsp. olive oil
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
Directions :
  1. To a large ziptop plastic bag, add all ingredients except the optional fresh herbs. Seal bag and squish the contents around so the chicken is evenly coated.
  2. Place the bag in the fridge to marinate for at least 1 hour (overnight is great if you can plan).
  3. Preheat an outdoor grill to medium-high heat (or indoor grill pan) and grill the chicken for about 7 minutes, or until done; flip intermittently to ensure even cooking. Optionally garnish with fresh herbs and serve immediately.
  4. Chicken is best fresh but will keep airtight in the fridge for up to 5 days. If you want the extra marinade to use as a dipping sauce for the chicken, add the full amounts to the ziptop bag and then to a small bowl, add half of all the amounts and stir to combine; set aside to serve with the cooked chicken.
