Grilled Chili Burgers
These seasoned ground beef and pork burgers are topped with a fresh herb sauce and served in a pita. Quick and easy, you can make them in just 30 minutes.
Ingredients :
- ¾ cup bottled roasted red sweet peppers, drained and cut into strips
- 3 whole-wheat pita bread rounds, quartered and toasted
- ⅛ tsp. salt
- ¼ tsp. ground cumin
- ½ tsp. onion powder
- 1 tbsp. chili powder
- 8 oz. ground pork
- 1 pound 95% or higher lean ground beef
- ⅛ tsp. cayenne pepper
- ¼ tsp. ground black pepper
- ¼ tsp. salt
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp. olive oil
- 2 tbsp. red wine vinegar
- ½ cup finely snipped fresh cilantro
- ½ cup finely snipped fresh flat-leaf parsley
