French Toast Casserole

This french toast is perfect for a crowd. It's not too sweet, not too heavy, and amazing with powdered sugar or maple syrup. (Or both, we won't judge.) wonderful flavors come out in this baked French toast recipe. I was concerned about serving it hot, but I found out that after we had eaten and went back for seconds, the casserole had rested and more room temp the vanilla and cream flavors were enhanced! The second serving was better tasting. I recommend letting it “rest” from the oven about 10-15mins before serving.

Ingredients :
  • Fresh berries, for serving (optional)
  • Powdered sugar, for serving
  • 1/4 cup Sliced almonds
  • 1 White bread, preferably day-old

  • 1 tsp. Ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup Packed brown sugar
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 2 cups Whole milk
